Shine

Launched in January 2017, Shine’s idea was to create an account that could simplify the daily lives of the self-employed and entrepreneurs in their everyday management, while providing an excellent payment experience.

Since its launch, the fintech has raised over €10 million. In 2020, Shine was acquired by the Société Générale Group.

In 2021, Shine obtained authorization from the French regulator (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution – ACPR) to become a Payment Institution, thanks to the joint work done with Treezor. The result of this collaboration represents a major step in Shine’s growth, enabling the brand to develop faster and go further. Thanks to Treezor’s offer designed especially for Payment Institutions (PI), Shine now uses core banking features via API. Treezor remains Shine’s main technology partner and the issuer of its payment cards.
