Retreeb is reinventing payments by automatically redistributing 33% of commissions generated through daily purchases to ethical and solidarity-based projects. The fintech has chosen UNITLIFE, the UN’s global initiative to fight inequality, as its first partner in order to finance sustainable food systems.

For this project, Retreeb will rely on the leading Banking-as-a-Service provider – Treezor – a turnkey white-label solution offered to companies wishing to provide payment services to their own customers by embedding the tech, regulatory and security aspects. Treezor, which has more than 100 customers including fintechs and large companies, will ensure the off-chain financial flows (data from external sources) generated via Retreeb’s ethical payment app.

“We are very pleased to launch this collaboration with Treezor. Thanks to their proven and constantly evolving solutions, the management of Retreeb’s off-chain flows will be secure and simultaneous with our on-chain flows. This will allow us to offer a global ethical payment chain to our users” explains Jeremi Lepetit, CEO of Retreeb.

Treezor has positioned itself as a key player in the Embedded Finance industry and is actively participating in the development of innovative solutions that improve the payment experience of users. Its services offered completely via API cover the entire payment chain from issuing to acquiring.

“We are thrilled to incorporate our solutions in an alternative, responsible and sustainable payment project such as Retreeb. Our partnership also represents a new opportunity to participate in the development of innovative payment experiences through blockchain, QR Codes or contactless payments” says Cédric Cassini, Chief Commercial Officer of Treezor.

This core partnership between two innovative Fintech players concretely expresses the ambition to turn payment technology into effective tools for the common good in the spirit of “blockchain for good”.
